Membership

The Longmont Branch continually welcomes new members.

In principle and in practice, AAUW values and seeks a diverse membership. There shall be no barrier to full participation in this organization on the basis of gender, race, creed, age, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, or class.

AAUW members are of diverse cultures, backgrounds, perspectives and professions. When you join an AAUW branch, you will belong to a community of people who value education, information and equal rights. You will network with other members and develop relationships that stimulate a lifetime of personal and professional growth.

Membership is open to a graduate holding an associate or equivalent, baccalaureate, or higher degree from a qualified educational institution.  This includes a degree from a foreign institution recognized by IFUW, or a foreign degree acceptable as a basis for admission by graduate schools at qualified universities of the United States.

Undergraduate students enrolled in a regionally accredited two or four-year institution may become student affiliates at a reduced membership rate (http://www.aauw.org/article/become-a-student-affiliate/).  If the school they attend is an AAUW College/University partner free e-membership is available.  See: http://www.aauw.org/article/become-a-student-affiliate/.

For more information please contact our president Nan Andersson, or our membership vice-president Virginia Black at: aauwlongmont@gmail.com   Please click here to download the AAUW 2016-17 membership form rev’d2.  To encourage younger women to participate, the Longmont branch has waived branch dues for those less than 35 years of age.
